President Paudel to Address Joint Session of Federal Parliament

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel is scheduled to address a joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament today. Spokesperson for the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Joint Secretary Ekram Giri, confirmed that President Paudel will address the joint session at 3:00 PM.

President Paudel is addressing the joint session upon the recommendation of the government. Article 95 of the Constitution outlines the provisions regarding the President's address. Under the heading 'Address by the President,' it states, 'The President may address a sitting of either House or a joint sitting of both Houses of the Federal Parliament and summon the members for that purpose.'
