Mahottari, 22 February (2022) - Sitaram Sardar, a person who had significant role on left democratic movement in the country, passed away at his residence in Bhangaha Municipality-7 on Monday morning.
Sardar was 80-year-old and had been suffering from multiple health problems including diabetes and paralyses. Sardar who was from Bantar ethnic community had been in politics since 2036 BS. He had played a leading role in the fronts of struggle for restoration of democracy. The front was led by Nepal Communist Party under the leadership of Bishnu Bahadur Manandhar in 2038Bs. Later in 2049, Sardar entered CPN UML in 2049BS.
