Suicide incidents at Narayani alarming

Five people killed themselves in one month by jumping off the bridge into Narayani river. Psychiatrists recommend better physical infrastructure and awareness campaigns to prevent such incidents.

Over the past month, as many as five people jumped into the Narayani river from Narayani Bridge, which links Narayanghat of Chitwan district with Gaindakot of Nawalpur. One of them was safely rescued while four others went missing.
