Nepal Telecom Expands NT Fiber FTTH Capacity To 2.237 Million Lines

Kathmandu: Nepal Telecom has increased the distribution capacity of its NT Fiber service based on Fiber to the Home (FTTH) technology. According to the telecom’s latest data, FTTH distribution capacity across the country has reached 2.237 million.

As of mid-Ashar, the distribution capacity stood at 2.174 million lines. This capacity has been expanded by mid-Kartik of the current fiscal year. According to the Wireline and Customer Service Directorate of the telecom, a plan is being implemented to distribute a total of more than 2.5 million lines by constructing 4,965 fiber distribution cabinets (FDCs) across the country.
