Kathmandu. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated on Wednesday that diplomacy is a tool for protecting national interests and will only be pursued when it aligns with Iran's interests.
He thanked Pakistan for its mediation efforts and noted that Iran's actions were taken in self-defense against US and Israeli military aggression.
