Genji Movement Victims Await Compensation

Kathmandu. Last year, on Bhadra 23 and 24, many youths lost their lives in the Genji movement, and state assets worth billions were destroyed. During the movement, not only government structures but also private properties of many were destroyed, and businessmen also suffered huge losses.

Just five months before the Genji movement, Arjun Aryal of Kavre took a loan of 45 lakh rupees from Nabil Bank. He was running a canteen in the Supreme Court with the loan taken from the bank. The business was also running well. After running the canteen for five months, he had to suffer unexpected damage. Not only was there a big loss in business, but he also had to endure great mental stress.
