झापामा कैदीबन्दीको मृत्यु

झापा । जिल्ला कारागार झापामा कैद सजाय भुक्तान गरिरहेका कैदीबन्दीको उपचारका क्रममा मृत्यु भएको छ ।

पाँचथरको साविक नागी गाविस–९ घर भएका ६४ वर्षीय चन्द्रकुमार घिमिरेको आज बिहान बिर्तामोडस्थित बिएण्डसी अस्पतालमा उपचारका क्रममा मृत्यु भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय झापाले जनाएको छ ।

जबर्जस्ती करणी मुद्दामा १० वर्ष कैद सजाय भुक्तान गरिरहेका घिमिरेलाई जेठ ७ गते साँझ श्वासप्रश्वासमा समस्या देखिएपछि उपचारका लागि मेची प्रादेशिक अस्पताल भद्रपुर लगिएको थियो । त्यहाँबाट थप उपचारका लागि सोही रात ओमसाई पाथीभरा अस्पताल भद्रपुर लगिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।

अस्पतालको सघन उपचार कक्ष (आइसियु) मा राखेर उपचार भइरहेका बेला स्वास्थ्य अवस्था थप जटिल बनेपछि उनलाई बिर्तामोडस्थित बिएण्डसी अस्पताल रिफर गरिएको थियो । उपचारकै क्रममा आज बिहान ३ः४५ बजे उनको मृत्यु भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय झापाका प्रहरी नायब उपरीक्षक खगेन्द्रबहादुर खड्काले जानकारी दिए ।

जिल्ला अदालत झापाको फैसलाअनुसार घिमिरेले आठ वर्ष आठ महिना एक दिन कैद सजाय भुक्तान गरिसकेका थिए । मृतकको शव बिएण्डसी अस्पतालमा राखिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।

Jhapa: A prisoner serving his sentence at Jhapa District Jail has died during treatment.

Chandra Kumar Ghimire, 64, a resident of former Nagi VDC-9 of Panchthar, died this morning while undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.

Ghimire, who is serving a 10-year prison sentence in a rape case, was taken to Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur for treatment on the evening of Jestha 20 after experiencing breathing problems. From there, he was taken to Omsai Pathibhara Hospital, Bhadrapur, for further treatment that same night, according to police.

While undergoing treatment in the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU), his health condition worsened and he was referred to B&C Hospital in Birtamod. He died at 3:45 this morning during treatment, informed Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Jhapa.

According to the verdict of the District Court, Jhapa, Ghimire had already served eight years, eight months and one day in prison. The body of the deceased has been kept at B&C Hospital, according to the police.
