Kanchapur Local Bodies Halt River Material Extraction During Monsoon

Kanchapur. Local levels of Kanchapur have stopped the excavation, collection, and export of stones, gravel, and sand from rivers and streams.

According to the legal provision that riverine materials cannot be excavated from Asar 1 to Bhadra end every year as per Rule 4, Sub-rule (16) of the Stone, Gravel, Sand Excavation, Sale and Management Standards-2077 (Amendment 2079), local levels have stopped such activities.
