नाडाले भन्यो- आगामी आर्थिक वर्षको बजेटले गाडीको मूल्य बढाउँछ

काठमाडौं । नाडा अटोमोवाईल्स एशोसिएशन अफ नेपालले नयाँ बजेटले गाडीको मूल्य बढाउने जनाएको छ । सरकारको वर्तमान कर नीतिले विद्युतीय लगायत इन्धनबाट चल्ने सवारी साधनहरू समेतको मूल्य बढ्ने भएको हो ।

नाडाले विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै भनेको छ– आगामी आर्थिक वर्ष २०८३/८४ को बजेटले विद्युतीय सवारी साधनमा लाग्दै आएको अन्तःशुल्क हटाएर स्वच्छ पूर्वाधार लगानी शुल्क लगाउने व्यवस्था गरेको छ । सरकारको वर्तमान कर नीतिले विद्युतीय लगायत इन्धनबाट चल्ने सवारी साधनहरू समेतको मूल्य बढ्ने देखिएको छ ।

नेपाल विश्व व्यापार सङ्गठनको सदस्य भएको दुई दशक भइसकेको र नेपाल कम विकसित राष्ट्रबाट स्तरोन्नति भएर विकाशशील राष्ट्रमा परिणत हुँदै गरेको सन्दर्भमा नाडाले न्यूनतम रूपमा सवारी साधनहरूमा सरकारले थप कर वृद्धि नगर्ने अपेक्षा राख्दै आएको थियो ।

सरकारले मोटर पिक पावरको आधारमा महलशील दर कायम राख्दै आएकोमा यस बजेटले कारोबार मूल्यको आधारमा महसुल लगाउने व्यवस्था गरेको छ ।

नाडाले स्थिर कर नीतिको माग गर्दै आएको र सरकारले पनि खास गरी विद्युतीय सवारी साधनहरूका सन्दर्भमा प्रवर्द्धनात्मक नीति लिइने बताउँदै आएको थियो । तर सरकारले अव सवारी साधनहरूलाई मूल्यका आधारमा कर निर्धारण गर्ने र अतिरिक्त शीर्षकहरू मार्फत थप महसुल लगाउने निर्णय छ । जसले गर्दा प्राय सबै किसिमका सवारी साधनहरूको मूल्य बढ्ने देखिन्छ ।

सवारी साधनहरूको मूल्य स्थिरताको लागि सरकारले नेपाली रुपैयाँमा भन्दा डलरका आधारमा कर निर्धारण गर्नु थप व्यावहारिक हुने नाडाको माग छ ।

NADA has issued a statement saying that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 has made provision to impose a clean infrastructure investment fee by removing the excise duty on electric vehicles. Nepal has been a member of the World Trade Organization for two decades and is transitioning from a least developed country to a developing country. NADA had been expecting the government to at least not increase taxes on vehicles.

While the government has been maintaining a flat rate based on motor peak power, this budget has made provision for levying a tariff based on transaction value.

NADA has been demanding a stable tax policy and the government has also been saying that it will take a promotional policy, especially in the case of electric vehicles. But the government has now decided to tax vehicles based on value and impose additional duties through additional headings. As a result, the prices of almost all types of vehicles are likely to increase.

NADA demands that it would be more practical for the government to determine taxes in dollars rather than Nepali rupees to stabilize the price of vehicles.
