Real Madrid Announces Signing of Portuguese Midfielder Bernardo Silva

Madrid. Spanish club Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva to the squad.

Silva, 31, and Madrid have reached an agreement until 2028, with an option to extend the contract by an additional year by mutual consent. He is joining Real Madrid on a free transfer while currently playing in the World Cup with his national team. After his contract with Manchester City ended, he chose the Spanish club. Since joining in 2017, he has been a key player for Manchester City under coach Pep Guardiola. Real Madrid has already announced the arrival of Marc Cucurella, while the signings of Dumfries and Konate are yet to be officially announced.
