सदस्यता अध्यावधिक नगर्नेहरू १५औँ महाधिवेशनमा सहभागी हुँदैनन् : सहमहामन्त्री रसाइली

कैलाली । नेपाली कांग्रेस सहमहामन्त्री प्रकाश स्नेही रसाइलीले पार्टी सदस्यता अद्यावधिक नगर्नेहरू १५औँ महाधिवेशनमा सहभागी हुन नपाउने बताएका छन् ।

नेपाल प्रेससँग कुरा गर्दै उनले पार्टीले कसैलाई दुःख दिने नियतले अद्यावधिक गर्न नखोजेको स्पष्ट पारे । पार्टीको निर्णयविरुद्ध अद्यावधिक नगर्नेहरू आगामी महाधिवेशनमा सहभागी हुन नसक्ने उनको भनाइ थियो ।

‘अद्यावधिक गर्दा पैसा लाग्दैन। अहिले हामीसँग जति सदस्य छन्, सबैको तथ्याङ्क राख्न चाहन्छौँ । नेसनल आईडी नभए नागरिकता हुनुपर्छ। टेलिफोन नम्बर अनिवार्य हुनुपर्छ। सामाजिक सञ्जालबारे जानकारी पनि अनिवार्य हुनुपर्छ’, उनले भने, ‘नेपाली कांग्रेस पार्टीले सबैको अद्यावधिक अनिवार्य गर्न खोजेको हो। कसैको सदस्यता खोस्न वा दुःख दिन खोजिएको होइन । ’

विगतमा ८ लाख ५२ हजार ७११ क्रियाशील सदस्य रहेको प्रतिवेदन आए पनि ती सबैसँग सम्पर्क नभएको भन्दै उनले आगामी दिनमा सबै सदस्यहरूको डिजिटल तथ्याङ्क राख्ने गरी तयारी थालिएको बताए ।

‘विगतमा ८ लाखभन्दा बढी सदस्य छन्, तर १ लाखको पनि फोन नम्बर छैन । रहरले अद्यावधिक गर्न लागिएको होइन, यो हाम्रो तथ्याङ्क राख्नुपर्ने बाध्यता हो । हामीले भइरहेका सदस्यहरूसँग बिना पैसा फोटो, नम्बर र नागरिकता मागेका हौँ’, उनले भने, ‘सामाजिक सञ्जालमार्फत पनि हामी हाम्रा नेता–कार्यकर्तासँग जोडिनका लागि सदस्यता अद्यावधिक गर्न लागेका हौँ ।’

सहमहामन्त्री रसाइलीले हिजो नवीकरण नभएका वा भएका सबै सदस्यको अद्यावधिक गर्ने लक्ष्य रहेको बताए । उनले भने, ‘नागरिकता नम्बरसमेत राखेर हामी पार्टी सदस्यहरूलाई पारदर्शी र जवाफदेही बनाउन चाहन्छौँ ।’

आइतबार कांग्रेस सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश समितिले आयोजना गरेको भेलाबारे पनि उनले पार्टीको नोटिसमा रहेको बताएका छन् । ‘पार्टी सभापतिलाई कसले धेरै गाली गर्ने भन्ने प्रतिस्पर्धा भइरहेको थियो । त्यो प्रतिस्पर्धाबाट कसलाई के लाभ हुने हो, देखिएको छैन। हामीले त्यसलाई अन्यथा लिएका छैनौँ। तर, त्यो कुरा नोटिसमा छ’, उनले भने ।

आइतबार कांग्रेस सुदूरपश्चिम समितिले आयोजना गरेको भेलामा १४औँ महाधिवेशनमा तत्कालीन सभापति शेरबहादुर देउवा निकट रहेका नेताहरूको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो ।

विशेष महाधिवेशनबाट निर्वाचित कुनै पनि पदाधिकारी तथा सदस्यहरू कांग्रेसको उक्त भेलामा थिएनन् । उनीहरूमध्ये अधिकांशले गगन कुमार थापाप्रति आरोप लगाउँदै पार्टी कमजोर हुनुको कारण नेतृत्वमाथि लगाएका थिए ।

११ बुँदे घोषणापत्रमा पनि सदस्यता अद्यावधिक आवश्यक नरहेको निष्कर्ष निकालिएको थियो। यी सबै कुराको जानकारी रहेको भन्दै सहमहामन्त्री रसाइलीले पार्टी कमजोर बनाउने र नेतृत्वलाई खुइल्याउने काम कसैबाट पनि हुन नहुने बताएका छन् ।

Kailali. Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Prakash Snehi Rasaili has said that those who do not update their party membership will not be allowed to participate in the 15th General Convention.

Speaking to Nepal Press, he clarified that the party did not try to update with the intention of hurting anyone. He said that those who do not update against the party's decision will not be able to participate in the upcoming general convention.

"There is no charge for updating. We want to keep the data of all the members we have now. If there is no national ID, then citizenship is required. Telephone number should be mandatory. Information about social media should also be mandatory," he said. "The Nepali Congress Party is trying to make updating mandatory for everyone. It is not an attempt to take away anyone's membership or cause trouble."

Stating that although there were reports of 852,711 active members in the past, there has been no contact with all of them, he said that preparations have been made to maintain digital data of all members in the coming days.

"In the past, there were more than 800,000 members, but not even 100,000 have phone numbers. It is not a matter of desire to update, it is an obligation to maintain our data. We have asked for photos, numbers and citizenship from existing members without any money," he said. "We are also going to update the membership through social media to connect with our leaders and activists."

Joint General Secretary Rasaili said yesterday that the goal is to update all members who have not renewed or have. He said, "We want to make party members transparent and accountable by including their citizenship numbers."

He also said that the party is on notice regarding the gathering organized by the Nepali Congress Sudurpaschim Province Committee on Sunday. "There was a competition to see who would insult the party president the most. It is not clear who would benefit from that competition. We have not taken it otherwise. However, that matter is on notice," he said.

Leaders close to then-President Sher Bahadur Deuba were present at the gathering organized by the Nepali Congress Far Western Committee on Sunday.

None of the office bearers and members elected from the special general convention were present at the Congress gathering. Most of them had blamed Gagan Kumar Thapa for the party's weakness and blamed the leadership.

The 11-point manifesto also concluded that membership renewal was not necessary. Stating that he was aware of all these matters, Joint General Secretary Rasaili said that no one should try to weaken the party and weaken the leadership.
