Kathmandu Metropolitan City Presents Budget of NPR 25.88 Billion for Fiscal Year 2083/84

Kathmandu. The program and budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 has been presented by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol has presented an estimated budget of a total of NPR 25,883,055,000 to implement the policies and programs of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Budget Allocation by Sector

A total of 2.1 percent of the total budget, amounting to NPR 541,820,000, has been proposed for the economic development sector. A total of 9.6 percent, amounting to NPR 2,422,731,000, has been proposed for the social development sector. The infrastructure development sector accounts for 61 percent, amounting to NPR 15,316,748,000.

A total of 8.5 percent, amounting to NPR 2,134,792,000, has been proposed for good governance and inter-related sectors. Similarly, 18.8 percent, amounting to NPR 4,716,964,000, has been proposed for office operation and administrative sectors.
