समतामूलक समाज निर्माणमा एकजुट हुन मुख्यमन्त्री यादवको आग्रह

जनकपुरधाम । मधेश प्रदेशका मुख्यमन्त्री कृष्ण प्रसाद यादवले जातीय भेदभाव तथा छुवाछूत उन्मूलन राष्ट्रिय दिवस–२०८३ को अवसरमा शुभकामना सन्देश जारी गर्दै समानतामूलक, न्यायपूर्ण र समावेशी समाज निर्माणका लागि सबैलाई एकजुट हुन आग्रह गरेका छन्।

मुख्यमन्त्री यादवले जारी गरेको सन्देशमा जातीय भेदभाव र छुवाछूत मानव अधिकारविरुद्धको गम्भीर सामाजिक विकृति भएको उल्लेख गर्दै यसको अन्त्य सम्पूर्ण समाजको साझा दायित्व रहेको बताएका छन्। उनले जेठ २१ गते नेपाललाई जातीय छुवाछूतमुक्त राष्ट्र घोषणा गरिएको स्मरण गर्दै उक्त दिनलाई राष्ट्रिय दिवसका रूपमा मनाइँदै आएको बताएका छन्।

उनले संविधानले बहुजातीय, बहुभाषिक, बहुधार्मिक तथा बहुसांस्कृतिक विशेषतालाई आत्मसात् गर्दै सामाजिक न्याय, समानता र समावेशीताको प्रत्याभूति गरेको उल्लेख गरेका छन्। साथै वर्गीय, जातीय, क्षेत्रीय, लैङ्गिक तथा अन्य सबै प्रकारका विभेद अन्त्य गरी समतामूलक समाज निर्माण गर्ने राज्यको प्रतिबद्धता रहेको पनि बताएका छन्।

मुख्यमन्त्री यादवले कानुनी व्यवस्थाका बाबजुद समाजमा अझै पनि परम्परागत सोच, अन्धविश्वास र विभेदका अवशेष कायम रहेको उल्लेख गर्दै राज्यका सबै निकाय, राजनीतिक नेतृत्व, नागरिक समाज तथा आम नागरिकले जातीय विभेद र छुवाछूत उन्मूलनका लागि अझ प्रभावकारी भूमिका निर्वाह गर्नुपर्ने आवश्यकता औँल्याएका छन्।

सन्देशको अन्त्यमा उनले जातीय भेदभाव तथा छुवाछूत उन्मूलन राष्ट्रिय दिवसले सभ्य, समुन्नत र विभेदरहित समाज निर्माणका लागि सबैलाई प्रेरणा मिलोस् भन्ने शुभकामना व्यक्त गरेका छन्।

Janakpurdham. Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Krishna Prasad Yadav, has issued a message of best wishes on the occasion of the National Day for the Elimination of Caste Discrimination and Untouchability-2083, urging everyone to unite for building an equal, just and inclusive society.

In a message issued by Chief Minister Yadav, he stated that caste discrimination and untouchability are serious social evils against human rights and that ending them is the common responsibility of the entire society. He recalled that Nepal was declared a caste-free nation on 21st Jestha and said that the day is being celebrated as a national day.

He mentioned that the Constitution has guaranteed social justice, equality and inclusiveness by embracing multi-ethnic, multilingual, multi-religious and multicultural characteristics. He also said that the state is committed to building an egalitarian society by ending all forms of class, caste, regional, gender and other discrimination.

Chief Minister Yadav has pointed out the need for all state bodies, political leadership, civil society and common citizens to play a more effective role in eradicating caste discrimination and untouchability, stating that despite the legal system, remnants of traditional thinking, superstition and discrimination still persist in the society.

At the end of the message, he expressed his best wishes that the National Day for the Elimination of Caste Discrimination and Untouchability will inspire everyone to build a civilized, prosperous and discrimination-free society.
