Traffic Police Seize 1,329 Modified Motorcycles for Loud Noise

Kathmandu. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has taken action by impounding 1,329 motorcycles that were modified to produce loud and noisy sounds.
A special monitoring and action campaign has been launched against motorcycles that create loud noise on the roads, causing noise pollution, and have been modified, informed Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Nareshraj Subedi.
He said, "We have launched a campaign to control the activities of modifying motorcycles to produce loud noise and cause noise pollution. So far, the owners of 1,329 motorcycles have been prosecuted."
Meanwhile, the traffic police have informed that today alone, 50 stolen and lost motorcycles were found in various places in the Kathmandu Valley and handed over to their respective owners. Spokesperson Subedi informed that a special team has been mobilized by the traffic police for the search and rescue of stolen and lost vehicles.
