Roads Affected by Rain, Landslides, and Maintenance

Kathmandu. Due to continuous rain for the past few days, floods, landslides, and road maintenance, traffic movement has been affected on various main highways across the country. According to the latest data from the Department of Roads, as of 70 AM today, there are full or partial obstructions on various road sections in Kosi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Main highways in three districts of Kosi Province have been affected by floods. The Mid-Hill Highway has been affected by floods in Bokhim, Ward 5 of Bhojpur Municipality, and Dobhan, Ward 2 of Yangwarak Rural Municipality, Panchthar. Similarly, the Mechi Highway has been obstructed due to floods in Rajduwali, Ward 9 of Ilam Municipality. Currently, traffic is operating only one-way in all these three locations.
