Agriculture Minister Assures No Chemical Fertilizer Shortage for Farmers

Kathmandu. Minister of Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary has said that the government has a special focus on ensuring that farmers do not face a shortage of chemical fertilizers. She said this on Wednesday while responding to the queries raised by the members of the House of Representatives.

Minister Chaudhary also informed that the government has recently started the process of purchasing 50,000 metric tons of fertilizer from the friendly country India to ensure that farmers do not face a shortage of fertilizer. She informed the parliament that the cabinet has already received theoretical approval for the purchase.
