Nepalgunj Marathon Receives AIMS Social Award 2026

Kathmandu. The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), a common organization of World Running, has presented the 'AIMS Social Award 2026' to Nepal's Dhara Nepalgunj Marathon. This award was presented at a special ceremony held on Friday night as part of AIMS's 25th World Congress in Tromsø, Norway.

AIMS President Paco Borao handed over the award to TS Thakuri, founder of the Nepalgunj Marathon. This award, presented to one outstanding race organizer from around the world, is considered very prestigious in the field of World Running.
