Two Women Arrested with Brown Sugar in Itahari

Dharan. Police have arrested a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law with a large quantity of brown sugar from Pakliya of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-17, Sunsari. A police team from the Area Police Office, Pakliya, arrested the local 70-year-old Saratun Khatun and her 20-year-old daughter-in-law Sevika Sardar with the drugs.

According to Sunsari District Police Office Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandrabahadur Khadka, police raided Saratun's house after receiving information that drug dealing was taking place there. The drugs were found hidden inside a cloth bag carried by Saratun during the search and inspection. 21.50 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the bag.

Information Officer Khadka informed that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law have been kept at the Area Police Office, Pakliya, for further investigation and legal proceedings.
