Kathmandu Metropolitan City Representatives Depart for Israel Municipal Conference

Kathmandu. Acting Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Sunita Dangol, Spokesperson Nabin Manandhar, and Disaster Management Committee Coordinator Prem Thapa have departed for Israel to participate in the tenth edition of the Municipal Conference to be held in Tel Aviv, Israel.

They departed for the program on a Saturday night flight at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Israel. The conference, titled 'Successful Partnership (Weening Partnership)', will be attended by heads of municipalities, municipal leaders, government officials, urban planners, and experts from more than 150 cities worldwide.

Mayors and representatives from Pokhara Metropolitan City and Janakpur Municipality, along with Kathmandu, have gone to participate in the program which will run for 3 days from Asar 9, 10, and 11 (June 23, 24, and 25). They will participate in a comprehensive business tour at the exhibition (expo) that will be held alongside the conference.

The main objective of the conference is to exchange mutual knowledge, skills, and experiences on advanced and innovative technologies for urban management, new municipal practices, and good and successful models of local governance. For this, thematic conferences and business networking sessions will be conducted.

This program is the main annual program of the Federation of Local Government of Israel.
