Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Calls for Change, Entrusts Future to New Parties

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has stated that the people have entrusted the current political change to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, and Balendra Shah. Addressing the first general convention of the RSP, Chairman Lingden said this opportunity is historic not just for any individual or party, but for the entire country.

Chairman Lingden accused political parties of engaging in 'loot-tantra' (system of plunder) after the establishment of democracy and said that change is necessary in that regard. 'We were saying the same thing while being on different platforms at different times,' he said, 'Through the election on Falgun 21, the people have given a clear mandate for change, and that responsibility has fallen on the shoulders of Rabi Lamichhane and Balendra Shah.'
