Norway Leads Senegal 3-1 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group 'I' match, Norway has come close to victory by leading Senegal 3-1.

New York-New Jersey Stadium Norway maintained control of the game until the 58th minute and held the lead. At the end of the first half, Marcus Pedersen scored in the 43rd minute to give Norway a 1-0 lead.

Three minutes into the second half, Erling Haaland doubled the lead in the 48th minute from a pass by Michael Ødegaard. However, Senegal had signaled a return to the game in the 53rd minute with a goal from Ismaïla Sarr.

But Norway regained control of the game and extended the lead to 3-1 in the 58th minute with Haaland scoring his second personal goal.

Senegal's Famara Diedhiou assisted in the 53rd minute goal, while Norway's Marcus Pedersen showed the team the way by scoring the first goal.

This match has become difficult for Senegal, who performed poorly in the first game, while Norway is moving towards a second consecutive victory and is close to the knockout stage.
