In the match held at the New York-New Jersey stadium, Norway took the lead in the 43rd minute through a goal by Marcus Pedersen. In the second half, which ended 1-0 in the first half, Erling Haaland scored in the 48th minute, assisted by Michael Ødegaard, putting Norway in a 2-0 position.

Senegal signaled a comeback in the 53rd minute with a goal by Ismaïla Sarr. However, Norway re-established a strong 3-1 lead in the 58th minute with another goal from Haaland.

As the game neared its end, Senegal increased pressure and scored again in the added 3 minutes. Breaking through Norway's defense, that goal brought the score to 3-2, making the final minutes extremely thrilling.
