बार सधैँ प्रतिपक्षको भूमिकामा रहनुपर्छ : अध्यक्ष मिश्र

रुपन्देही । नेपाल बार एशोसिएशनका केन्द्रीय अध्यक्ष तथा वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता प्रा. डा. विजयप्रसाद मिश्रले नेपाल बार एशोसिएशनले सधैँ प्रतिपक्षको भूमिकामा रहेर राज्यका गतिविधिमाथि निगरानी गर्नुपर्ने बताएका छन् ।

उच्च अदालत बार एशोसिएशन बुटवलको ३२औँ साधारण सभालाई शनिबार बुटवलमा सम्बोधन गर्दै अध्यक्ष मिश्रले कानुन व्यवसायीहरूले कानुनको दायराभित्र रहेर न्याय सम्पादन प्रक्रियालाई थप प्रभावकारी बनाउन भूमिका खेल्नुपर्नेमा जोड दिए।

कार्यक्रममा नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकका पूर्वगभर्नर चिरञ्जीवी नेपालले बहुमतको आडमा सरकारले गर्ने गलत कामप्रति नेपाल बार एशोसिएसनले निरन्तर खबरदारी गर्नुपर्ने बताए ।

उनले न्यायपालिकाको स्वतन्त्रता र निष्पक्षता लोकतान्त्रिक शासन व्यवस्थाको आधार भएकाले त्यसको संरक्षणमा बारको सक्रिय भूमिका आवश्यक रहेको धारणा राखे।

साधारण सभा तथा अधिवेशनको अवसरमा ‘लुम्बिनी न्याय दर्पण’ तथा वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता स्वर्गीय नेत्रबहादुर नेपाल स्मृति विशेषाङ्कको विमोचन पनि गरिएको थियो ।

नेपाल बार एशोसिएशन रुपन्देहीका अध्यक्ष गोविन्दप्रसाद मरासिनीले स्वर्गीय नेपालको न्याय क्षेत्रप्रतिको समर्पण, व्यावसायिक निष्ठा र कानुनी अभ्यासमा पुर्‍याएको योगदानको सम्मानस्वरूप विशेषाङ्क प्रकाशन गरिएको जानकारी दिए ।

कार्यक्रममा उच्च अदालत बुटवलका न्यायाधीश सागर विष्ट, बार एशोसिएशनका केन्द्रीय उपाध्यक्ष कृष्णप्रसाद पोखरेल, केन्द्रीय सदस्य इन्दिरा आचार्यलगायत वक्ताले वर्तमान परिस्थितिमा बार एशोसिएशनको भूमिका अझ महत्वपूर्ण बन्दै गएको बताएका थिए ।

Rupandehi. Nepal Bar Association Central President and Senior Advocate Prof. Dr. Vijay Prasad Mishra has said that the Nepal Bar Association should always remain in the role of opposition and monitor the activities of the state.

Addressing the 32nd general meeting of the High Court Bar Association, Butwal in Butwal on Saturday, Chairman Mishra emphasized that legal professionals should play a role in making the justice delivery process more effective by remaining within the purview of the law.

At the event, former Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Chiranjivi Nepal, said that the Nepal Bar Association should continuously warn against the wrongdoings of the government under the guise of majority rule.

He opined that the independence and impartiality of the judiciary are the foundation of democratic governance, and that the active role of the bar is necessary in protecting them.

On the occasion of the general assembly and convention, 'Lumbini Nyaya Darpan' and a special issue in memory of senior advocate Late Netra Bahadur Nepal were also released.

Govinda Prasad Marasini, President of the Nepal Bar Association Rupandehi, informed that the special issue was published in honor of the late Nepal's dedication to the judiciary, professional integrity, and contribution to legal practice.

Speakers at the program, including Judge Sagar Bista of the Butwal High Court, Krishna Prasad Pokharel, Central Vice President of the Bar Association, and Central Member Indira Acharya, said that the role of the Bar Association is becoming more important in the current situation.
