Visually Impaired Protest Against Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Government

Kathmandu. As the act of forcibly removing and forcibly apprehending visually impaired people living on the street has increased, they have protested against the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the government. For the past few days, they have been protesting at Maitighar in the capital.

"It is not our choice to endure sun, rain, dust, and smoke; it is a compulsion; we will not leave the street pavement without an alternative," they said. They accuse that the protest had to be started after the municipal police suppressed and apprehended them, not even allowing them to earn a living by staying on the street pavement, temples, and squares.
