Mexico Leads Czech Republic 2-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group 'A' match, Mexico has taken a 2-0 lead against the Czech Republic.

The first half of the match held at the Mexico City Stadium ended in a goalless draw. However, in the second half, Mexico scored two consecutive goals to take the game in their favor.

In the 55th minute, Mateo Chavez scored with a pass from Luis Romo to give Mexico the lead. Just 6 minutes later, in the 61st minute, Julian Quinones added another goal, doubling Mexico's lead.

Mexico, already the group winner, appears to be heading towards a third consecutive win, while the Czech Republic, needing a win to keep their knockout stage hopes alive, is under further pressure.

As of the 62nd minute, Mexico is leading 2-0.
