आकस्मिक सेवा दिनुपर्ने बिरामीको मात्र उपचार गर्न निजी अस बीमा बोर्डको निर्देशन

काठमाडौं । स्वास्थ्य बीमा बोर्डले निजी स्वास्थ्य संस्था (अस्पताल)लाई आकस्मिक सेवा आवश्यक पर्ने बिरामीको बिमा सुविधाअन्तर्गत उपचारको प्रबन्ध मिलाउन निर्देशन दिएको छ ।

बोर्डका वरिष्ठ मेडिकल सुपरिन्टेन्डेन्ट डा. पवनकुमार साहले कुनै पनि बिरामीलाई आकस्मिक उपचार गर्नुपर्ने देखिएमा मात्र बीमाअन्तर्गतका स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदान गर्न निर्देशन दिइएको बताएका हुन् ।

बोर्डले यही जेठ १६ गतेबाट वित्तीय स्रोतको अभावलाई मध्यनजर गर्दै अर्को निर्णय नभएसम्मका लागि बीमा कार्यक्रममा आबद्ध निजी स्वास्थ्य संस्थाबाट प्रदान गरिने आकस्मिकबाहेक सबै स्वास्थ्य सेवा स्थगित गरेको थियो । बोर्डले बिमामा भार पर्नेगरी सामान्य प्रकृतिका बिरामीलाई आकस्मिक उपचार सेवा प्रदान नगर्न आग्रहसमेत गरेको थियो ।

त्यसैगरी, सेवाग्राहीलाई समेत सेवा प्रदायक संस्था तथा स्वास्थ्यकर्मीमाथि अनावश्यक दबाब सृजना गरेर आश्यकताबाहेकका अवस्थामा पनि सेवा गर्न बाध्य नपार्न आग्रहसमेत गरिएको छ । बोर्डमा आबद्ध भई ३६ वटा निजी अस्पतालले बिमितलाई स्वास्थ्य सेवा उपलब्ध गराउँदै आएका छन् ।

Kathmandu. The Health Insurance Board has directed private health institutions (hospitals) to arrange treatment under the insurance facility for patients requiring emergency services.

The board's Senior Medical Superintendent, Dr. Pawan Kumar Sah, said that instructions have been given to provide health services under insurance only if any patient requires emergency treatment.

The board had suspended all health services, except emergency services, provided by private health institutions affiliated with the insurance program from 16th Jestha, keeping in mind the lack of financial resources, until further decision. The board had also urged not to provide emergency treatment services to ordinary patients, thereby burdening the insurance.

Similarly, service recipients have also been urged not to create unnecessary pressure on service providers and health workers and force them to provide services even in situations other than necessary. 36 private hospitals affiliated with the board have been providing health services to the insured.
