Five Arrested for Smuggling Elephant Tusks

Kathmandu. After the Genji movement, the police have arrested 5 people with elephant tusks looted from the President's Office Shital Niwas on the 24th of Bhadra. Those arrested include Rajiv Maharjan, a resident of Manamaiju, Kathmandu, Tekprasad Gurung of Gorkha, Ayush Maharjan, a resident of Basantapur, Puran Bohara of Baitadi, and Santabahadur Bhujel of Gorkha. The police said that they were arrested based on secret information about illegally transporting, selling, and storing wildlife elephant tusks.
