Nepali Congress Factions Warn of Split Over Leadership Style

Kathmandu. Leaders of the Nepali Congress's establishment-opposed (former President Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala) factions have warned that the party will head towards division if the unilateral working style of Gagan Thapa, who was elected president through a special general convention, is not corrected.

At a program organized on the occasion of the 44th memorial day of the party's founding leader Bishweshwor Prasad Koirala (BP), top leaders expressed collective dissatisfaction, stating that if President Thapa does not move forward by including all sides, the existence of Congress will be in crisis and ultimately the party will split.
