Man Arrested in Rautahat for Attacking Forest Patrol Team

Rautahat. Police have arrested Rajkishor Sah, 26, son of Ramdhyan Sah, a resident of Maidha village in Gujara Municipality, who attacked a patrol team for forest conservation in Rautahat, from Birgunj. A joint team of the Area Police Office Chandranigahapur and Police Post Birgunj arrested the accused Rajkishor from Birgunj on Saturday evening while he was hiding. District Police Spokesperson DSP Basanta Gautam said that he is currently in the custody of the Area Police Office Chandranigahapur.

Based on the complaint of Assistant Forest Officer Rajkumar Chaudhary, a case of attempted murder was filed against the defendant Rajkishor Sah and others at the Area Police Office Chandranigahapur, and an arrest warrant was issued by the District Court Rautahat. Acting on information about timber theft, Rajkishor and his group attacked the joint team of the Division Forest Office and Rangpur Community Forest User Group on the night of the 19th at 12:30 AM.
