Kathmandu. Progressive Democratic Party (Pratidashi Lokatantrik Party) leader Janardan Sharma has said that the communist movement in Nepal is not alive. Speaking at the book launch program of 'Scientific Socialism or Multiparty Democracy' written by former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal on Monday, Sharma said that the Communist Party needs to be reorganized.
‘The communist movement is not alive in Nepal. Only the leaders are alive. There was a public mandate of 70 percent leftists, progressives and patriots. It has now disintegrated. A new campaign is needed to reorganize it,’ he said, ‘If we look at the current state of what we have done by giving the name of the Communist Party, the movement is not alive in the context of Nepal. Reorganization is necessary to revive it.’
