MP Yashoda Baral Claims Loss of Rs 21,900 in eSewa Fraud, Raises Cybersecurity Concerns

Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader and Member of Parliament Yashoda Kumari Baral has raised concerns over cyber harassment and online fraud in Nepal, saying the country’s cybersecurity situation remains weak and citizens are increasingly vulnerable to digital crimes.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives’ Women and Social Affairs Committee on Monday, Baral said she regularly faces abusive comments on social media, particularly when posting political content.
