एम्बाप्पे र डेम्बेलेको आक्रमण पंक्तिको नेतृत्वमा विश्वकप खेल्ने फ्रान्सको सशक्त टोली घोषणा

काठमाडौं। फ्रान्सका प्रशिक्षक डिडियर डेसच्याम्प्सले यस गर्मीमा हुने विश्वकपका लागि २६ सदस्यीय टोली घोषणा गरेका छन्, जसमा स्टार फरवार्ड किलियन एम्बाप्पे र बालोन डी’ओर विजेता उस्मान डेम्बेलेले आक्रमण पंक्तिको नेतृत्व गर्नेछन्।

फ्रान्सका लागि सबैभन्दा धेरै गोल गर्ने खेलाडीमध्ये ओलिभियर जिरुड (५७ गोल) पछि एमबाप्पे दोस्रो स्थानमा छन्।

रियल मड्रिडका फरवार्ड एम्बाप्पे हालै तिघ्राको चोटसँग संघर्ष गरिरहे पनि टोलीको कप्तानी गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।

डेम्बेलेले गत सिजन पेरिस सेन्ट–जर्मेन (पिएसजी) का लागि ३५ गोल गर्दै च्याम्पियन्स लिग जिताएका थिए। त्यसपछि उनी बालोन डी’ओर जित्ने दोस्रो फ्रान्सेली खेलाडी बने। यद्यपि, अघिल्ला दुई विश्वकप खेलिसके पनि उनले विश्वकपमा अहिलेसम्म गोल गर्न सकेका छैनन्।

बायर्न म्युनिखका माइकल ओलिसे र पिएसजीका का डिजायर डुएले आक्रमण पंक्तिलाई थप बलियो बनाएका छन्। म्यानचेस्टर सिटीका प्लेमेकर रायान चेर्की र आर्सनलका डिफेन्डर विलियम सालिबासहित प्रिमियर लिगमा खेल्ने सात जना खेलाडी टोलीमा छन्।

लगातार दुई विश्वकप फाइनलमा फ्रान्सलाई पुर्‍याएका डेसच्याम्प्सले आफ्नो अन्तिम ठूलो प्रतियोगिताअघि केही अप्रत्याशित निर्णय पनि गरेका छन्।

रियल मड्रिडका मिडफिल्डर एडुआर्डो कामाभिङ्गा र टोटेनहमका रान्डाल कोलो मुआनी टोलीमा अटाएका छैनन्, जबकि दुवै जना २०२२ विश्वकप टोलीमा थिए।

पिएसजीका गोलकिपर लुकास शेभालिए पनि टोलीबाट बाहिरिएका छन्। उनको स्थानमा पहिलोपटक टोलीमा परेका लेन्सका गोलकिपर रोबिन रिसेरलाई माइक मेनियाँ र ब्रिस साम्बाको विकल्पका रूपमा राखिएको छ।

फ्रान्सले जुन १६ मा न्यू जर्सीमा सेनेगलविरुद्ध खेल्दै विश्वकप यात्रा सुरु गर्नेछ। त्यसपछि समूह ‘आई’ मा इराकसँग जुन २२ र नर्वेसँग जुन २६ मा खेल्ने तालिका छ।

Kathmandu. France coach Didier Deschamps has announced a 26-man squad for this summer's World Cup, with star forward Kylian Mbappe and Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele leading the attack.

Mbappe is second in the list of all-time goalscorers for France, behind Olivier Giroud (57 goals).

Real Madrid forward Mbappe is expected to captain the team despite recently struggling with a thigh injury.

Dembele scored 35 goals for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League last season, becoming the second French player to win the Ballon d'Or. However, despite playing in the previous two World Cups, he has yet to score a goal at the tournament.

Bayern Munich's Michael Oliseh and PSG's Desire Douy have bolstered the attacking line, with seven Premier League players in the squad, including Manchester City playmaker Ryan Cherki and Arsenal defender William Saliba.

Full-back Lucas Hernandez and midfielder N'Golo Kante, along with Mbappe and Dembele, are the remaining players from the French team that won the World Cup in 2018.

Deschamps, who has led France to two consecutive World Cup finals, has also made some unexpected decisions ahead of his final major tournament.

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and Tottenham's Randall Kolo Muani have not been included in the squad, although both were in the 2022 World Cup squad.

PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier has also been dropped from the squad, replaced by first-time Lens goalkeeper Robin Risser, who has been named in the squad as an alternative to Mike Mengian and Brice Samba.

France will begin their World Cup campaign against Senegal in New Jersey on June 16. They are then scheduled to play Iraq on June 22 and Norway on June 26 in Group 'I'.
