रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघको अधिवेशन सुरु : अध्यक्षमा गौचन र थापाको प्यानल

रुपन्देही । रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघको ३० औं वार्षिक साधारण सभा तथा पाँचौं अधिवेशन सोमवार भैरहवामा सुरु भएको छ । अधिवेशनले संघको आगामी चारवर्षे कार्यकालका लागि नेतृत्व चयन गर्दै रुपन्देही जिल्लामा क्रिकेट खेलको विकासका लागि विभिन्न योजना तथा नीति पारित गर्ने छ ।

वार्षिक साधारण सभा तथा पाँचौं अधिवेशनको उद्घाटन गर्दै नेपाल क्रिकेट संघका केन्द्रीय अध्यक्ष चतुरबहादुर चन्दले क्रिकेटप्रति रुपन्देहीमा ठूलो लगाव रहेका कारण क्रिकेट खेललगायतका गतिविधिमा मुलुकभरमै रुपन्देही जिल्ला एक नम्बरमा रहेको बताए ।

‘मुलुकका ४५ जिल्लामा रहेका क्रिकेट संघहरुमध्ये जनशक्ति, मिहिनेत र क्रिकेटप्रतिको लगावका कारण रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघ मुलुकमै बिगत र वर्तमान अवस्थामा एक नम्बरमा छ’, चन्दले भने, ‘तसर्थ नेपाल क्रिकेट संघको नेतृत्व तहमा रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघले ठूलो महत्व राख्ने गर्छ ।’

रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघलाई नेपाल क्रिकेट संघले उपेक्षा गरेको खण्डमा नेपालकै क्रिकेट विकासमा ठूलो घाटा लाग्ने भएकाले रुपन्देहीलाई उच्च प्राथमिकतामा राख्नु पर्ने उनले बताए ।

रुपन्देही क्रिकेटमा खेलाडी, एम्पायर, पूर्वाधार, प्रशिक्षकलगायत पुर्वाधार र क्रिकेटप्रति उच्च लगाव रहेकाले क्रिकेटकाे विकासमा रुपन्देहीको योगदान धेरै रहेको भनाइ उनको थियो ।

नेपालमा पछिल्लो पटक हुँदै जान थालेको क्रिकेटको विकासले विश्वमा नेपाललाई चिनाउन थालेको उल्लेख गर्दै उनले अझै पनि नेपालका धेरै पहाडी तथा तराइकै जिल्लामा पनि क्रिकेटका लागि खेल मैदान नरहेको बताए ।

क्रिकेट क्षेत्रको विकासका लागि केही योगदान गर्न खोज्ने व्यक्तिलाई नेपाल क्रिकेट संघको सदस्य बनाउन विद्यमान नियमले असहज भएकाले भएकाले नेपाल क्रिकेट संघ, खेलकूद परिषद लगायत् सम्बन्धित निकायले नियम संशोधनको प्रस्ताव राखेको उनले जनाए ।

नेपाल क्रिकेट संघका केन्द्रिय सदस्य प्रदिप मजगैयाले रुपन्देही क्रिकेटमा अग्रणी जिल्ला रहेको र सिद्धार्थ क्रिकेट मैदान पनि धेरै व्यवस्थित रहेको बताए ।

‘रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघ क्रिकेट क्षेत्रमा लुम्बिनी प्रदेशकै प्रेरणाको रुपमा रहेको छ’, उनले भने । पछिल्लो समयमा क्रिकेट खेलाडीको अपेक्षा बढेकाले खेलाडीको अपेक्षालाई नेतृत्वले बुझेर अगाडि बढ्नु पर्ने बताए ।

रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघका अध्यक्ष हरिबहादुर थापाले रुपन्देहीको क्रिकेट क्षेत्रको विकासमा सवै क्षेत्रबाट सहयोग मिलेको र रुपन्देहीको क्रिकेटले विकास गर्नुमा सवैको योगदान रहेको बताए ।

सिद्धार्थनगरकी उपप्रमुख उमा अधिकारीले रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघको संस्थापक अध्यक्षदेखि वर्तमान अध्यक्षसम्मका नेतृत्व टिमको योगदानकै कारण रुपन्देहीमा क्रिकेट विकासले अग्रणी भूमिका खेलेको बताइन् । क्रिकेटको विकासका लागि सिद्धार्थनगरपालिकाले निरन्तर बजेट विनियोजन गर्दै आइरहेको पनि उनले जनाइन् ।

रुपन्देही जिल्ला खेलकुद विकास समिति अध्यक्ष कोशिशबहादुर खड्का, जिल्ला समन्वय समितिका पूर्व अध्यक्ष एकराज बिश्वकर्मा, क्रिकेट संघका पुर्व केन्द्रिय सदस्य आशा गुरुङ, सिद्धार्थ होटल एशोसियसनका अध्यक्ष चन्द्र प्रकाश श्रेष्ठलगायतले पनि रुपन्देहीको क्रिकेट क्षेत्रका वारेमा अ–आफ्नो धारणा राखेका थिए ।

रुपन्देही क्रिकेट संघको अबको नेतृत्वका लागि सहमति हुन नसकेमा अध्यक्ष पदमा हरिबहादुर थापा र शक्ति गौचनबीच नै प्रतिष्पर्धा हुने संभावना भएको छ । दुवै पक्षले अ–आफ्नो प्यानल बनाएर निर्वाचनमा जाने सम्भावना रहेको छ । अध्यक्षलगायत सबै पदको निर्वाचन तथा अधिवेशन सम्पन्न गराउनका लागि लुम्बिनी प्रेस क्लवका सल्लाहकार कुलमणि ज्ञवाली, महासचिव प्रकाश न्यौपाने र कोषाध्यक्ष विष्णु भट्टराई निर्वाचन मण्डलमा रहेका छन् ।

Rupandehi. The 30th annual general meeting and fifth convention of the Rupandehi Cricket Association began in Bhairahawa on Monday. The convention will elect the leadership of the association for the next four years and approve various plans and policies for the development of cricket in Rupandehi district.

Inaugurating the annual general meeting and fifth convention, Nepal Cricket Association Central President Chatur Bahadur Chand said that Rupandehi district is number one in the country in cricket and other activities due to the great passion for cricket in Rupandehi.

"Among the cricket associations in the 45 districts of the country, the Rupandehi Cricket Association is number one in the country in the past and present due to its manpower, hard work and passion for cricket," Chand said. "Therefore, the Rupandehi Cricket Association holds great importance in the leadership level of the Nepal Cricket Association."

He said that Rupandehi should be given high priority as it will cause a huge loss to the development of Nepal's cricket if the Nepal Cricket Association neglects the Rupandehi Cricket Association.

He said that Rupandehi has contributed a lot to the development of cricket due to the high level of infrastructure and passion for cricket, including players, umpires, infrastructure, coaches, and the cricket itself.

Noting that the recent development of cricket in Nepal has started to make Nepal known to the world, he said that even in many hilly and Tarai districts of Nepal, there are still no playgrounds for cricket.

He said that the Nepal Cricket Association, Sports Council and other relevant bodies have proposed amending the rules as the existing rules make it difficult for people who want to contribute to the development of the cricket sector to be members of the Nepal Cricket Association.

Pradeep Majgaiya, central member of the Nepal Cricket Association, said that Rupandehi is a leading district in cricket and the Siddhartha Cricket Ground is also very well-maintained.

"The Rupandehi Cricket Association has been an inspiration for Lumbini Province in the cricket field," he said. He said that the leadership should understand the expectations of the players and move forward as the expectations of cricket players have increased in recent times.

Rupandehi Cricket Association President Hari Bahadur Thapa said that support has been received from all sectors for the development of Rupandehi's cricket sector and that everyone has contributed to the development of Rupandehi's cricket.

Siddharthanagar Deputy Mayor Uma Adhikari said that cricket development in Rupandehi has played a leading role due to the contributions of the leadership team, from the founding president to the current president of the Rupandehi Cricket Association. She also said that Siddharthanagar Municipality has been continuously allocating budget for the development of cricket.

Rupandehi District Sports Development Committee Chairman Koish Bahadur Khadka, former District Coordination Committee Chairman Ekraj Bishwakarma, former central member of the Cricket Association Asha Gurung, and Siddhartha Hotel Association Chairman Chandra Prakash Shrestha also expressed their views on the cricket sector in Rupandehi.

If no agreement is reached on the future leadership of the Rupandehi Cricket Association, there is a possibility of a competition between Hari Bahadur Thapa and Shakti Gauchan for the post of president. There is a possibility that both parties will form their own panels and go to the election. Lumbini Press Club advisor Kulmani Gyawali, general secretary Prakash Neupane and treasurer Bishnu Bhattarai are in the election panel to conduct the election and convention of all posts including the president.
