Madi Municipality Bans Sale of Plastic Items

Chitwan. Madi Municipality located here has banned the sale of plastic products within the municipality. The municipality has banned the sale of cups, glasses, plates, forks, and other plastic items made from plastic by issuing a notice.

Chief Executive Officer Jagat Prasad Bhusal informed that the time given to manage plastic items for sale within the city has expired, and therefore, further sales have been banned.

Mayor Tarakumari Kaji Mahato has urged the city dwellers to use items made from Sal leaves as an alternative to plastic materials.
