Viral Video of Drinking Water Pipe Being Cut in Dharan Is Actually From Ilam Irrigation Project

Kathmandu. A viral video claiming that a drinking water pipe was deliberately cut in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari, is misleading.

An investigation by Nepal FactCheck confirmed that the video circulating on social media is not from Dharan. The footage was recorded at Khadke Kulo in Maijogmai Rural Municipality–5, Ilam, during repair work on an irrigation pipeline.
