Banks Demand National ID Issue Date Despite NRB Saying ID Number Is Enough

Kathmandu. Customers are facing difficulties updating their National ID details in bank accounts after Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) directed banks and financial institutions to update such information.

Although the Rastra Bank has stated that customers without a physical National ID card can update their bank details using only the National ID number, banks are making the issue date a mandatory field in their systems.
