Squatter Arrested for Threatening to Go to Singhdarbar with Khukuri

Kathmandu. A squatter is currently in police custody for speaking out. Dambar Tamang, 39, of Arun Rural Municipality, Bhojpur, was arrested on Asar 15 for warning that he would not be removed from the holding center without proper management for himself and his community.

Arrested from Kirtipur, he is currently being held at the Singha Durbar Police Station and is being investigated by the police for the offense of disturbing public peace. SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, told Ratopati that an investigation is underway for the offense of disturbing public peace with a seven-day remand obtained from the District Administration Office.
