DoTM Warns Against Non-Standard Headlights and Pressure Horns, Cites Legal Action

Kathmandu. The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has issued a warning against the installation and use of headlights and pressure horns that do not conform to manufacturer specifications and approved technical standards, stating that violators will face action under prevailing laws.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the department said it has observed a rising trend of vehicle operators installing additional or modified lighting systems that deviate from approved technical specifications, either in designated positions or other parts of vehicles.
