Mugu's Rastriya Swatantra Party Expresses Deep Sorrow Over Ganesh Nepali's Self-Immolation Incident

Mugu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) Mugu has expressed deep sorrow over the incident of Mugu Soru Rural Municipality-1 youth Ganesh Nepali, who died during treatment after attempting self-immolation in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. The RSWP stated that it is extremely ironic and disturbing that a working-class youth, who was supporting his family through the ride-sharing 'Pathao' in Kathmandu, had to set himself on fire due to the stress caused by the Metropolitan Police's 'wheel lock'. The statement indicated that this incident has exposed the state mechanism's sensitivity towards citizens and the extreme mental and economic pressure faced by ordinary working-class citizens.

RSWP demands a thorough investigation into the circumstances that forced any citizen to make such a suicidal decision as setting themselves on fire. In a statement issued by RSWP Mugu Chairman Birkh Bahadur Malla and Secretary Ramu Bishwakarma, it is stated, 'Rastriya Swatantra Party strongly demands that the local administration and the Government of Nepal conduct an impartial and fact-based investigation into the background and causes of this incident, take strict legal action against the culprits, and guarantee immediate appropriate compensation and justice for the victim's family.'
