Youth Critical After Self-Immolation Attempt in Sarlahi, Treated in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Treatment is ongoing in Kathmandu after a youth attempted self-immolation in Sarlahi. Vivek Mandal, a resident of Godaita Municipality-10, set himself on fire by sprinkling petrol on Friday.

The 35-year-old Mandal was immediately brought to Kathmandu via army helicopter. According to SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range Kathmandu, Mandal is undergoing treatment at the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur.
