Lamjung. With the construction of landslide control structures at Udipur on the Dumre-Besisahar road section at a cost of Rs 11 crore 19 lakh by the federal government, vehicle movement has become easier even during the monsoon season.
According to Nabin Bishwokarma, Information Officer at the Dumre-Besisahar-Chame Road Scheme Office, structures such as micro piles in the Marshyangdi River, retaining walls along the riverbank, a 45-meter high and 80-meter long gabion net, 300 meters of blacktopped road, and nailing in the landslide-prone area above the road have been constructed.
