Acting Chief Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla Orders Filing of Petitions Against Chief Justice Recommendation

Kathmandu. Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) of the Supreme Court, Sapana Pradhan Malla, has stated in an order that the registration of petitions against the recommendation for Chief Justice was stopped on the instruction of Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma, who has been recommended for Chief Justice.

Senior Advocate Dr. Dinesh Tripathi, Advocate Dr. Premraj Silwal, and Gita Thapa had sought to file petitions against the recommendation of the Constitutional Council, but the administration refused to register them. When ACJ Malla drew the attention of the Chief Registrar to this matter, it was mentioned in the order that 'the petition was stopped on the instruction of the Justice recommended for Chief Justice, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma.'
