Home Minister Sudhan Gurung Urges MPs to Increase Ministry Budget

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has urged the MPs to make efforts in the parliament to increase the budget, stating that there is a lack of budget in the Home Ministry. Speaking at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee on Thursday, Home Minister Gurung said that the ministry has not been able to work effectively due to a lack of resources. Minister Gurung said that security and public welfare works have not been as expected due to the ministry not having enough budget. 'We don't have enough budget right now, we hope that if you all make an effort in the parliament once, the budget might be increased,' said Minister Gurung. 'We will wait for your voice, please speak up saying that the minister himself is a victim and the ministry should be given justice.'
