Nepal Industry Confederation Chairman Emphasizes Need for Manufacturing Industries to Boost Consumption

Kathmandu. Nepal Industry Confederation Chairman Virendraraj Pandey has stated that manufacturing industries are necessary to increase consumption. He said this on Friday while giving a welcome speech at the 24th General Assembly and 8th Convention of IPPAN.

'The target is to produce 30,000 megawatts in the next 10 years. Manufacturing industries are needed to increase consumption,' he said.

Pandey also said that opening up the private sector to electricity trade and transmission line construction is welcome. He also stated that the restructuring of the Nepal Electricity Authority, which was mentioned in the budget, should not be delayed.
