MP Harka Raj Rai Questions Government on Border Security and Army Deployment

Kathmandu. Labor Culture Party Chairman and MP Harkaraj Rai has questioned the government about why the Nepali Army has not been mobilized to protect Nepal's borders. In an emergency time during Friday's House of Representatives meeting, MP Rai drew the Defense Minister's attention, stating that Nepali citizens are being harassed and are fighting unarmed with Indian security forces in areas like Susta.

MP Rai accused the government of remaining a silent spectator while videos of SSB harassing and intimidating Nepali brothers in Susta are being made public. 'What oath has been taken that our Nepali army should not go to the border? What treaty or agreement has the Government of Nepal made that it cannot send the army to the border? Let that treaty be shown in the parliament,' Rai said.
