काठमाडौँ भित्रने साँगा नाकामा धमाधम काम, सकिनै लाग्यो अण्डरपास (तस्बिरहरु)

काठमाडौँ । काठमाडौँ उपत्यका भित्रिने तथा बाहिरिने प्रमुख पूर्वीनाका साँगामा निर्माण भइरहेको अण्डरपासले तीव्रता पाएको छ ।

अरनिको राजमार्गअन्तर्गतको सूर्यविनायक–धुलिखेल सडक विस्तार आयोजनाअन्तर्गत भक्तपुर र काभ्रेपलाञ्चोकको सीमास्थित साँगामा अण्डरपास निर्माण कार्य भइरहेको हो ।

हाल सूर्यविनायक–धुलिखेल सडक चार लेनमा स्तरोन्नति भइरहेको छ । साँगा क्षेत्रमा अग्लो पहाड भएकाले सडकलाई तलमाथि छुट्टाछुट्टै दुई–दुई लेनमा निर्माण गरिएको छ । यसअन्तर्गत काठमाडौँ उपत्यकाबाट बाहिरिने सवारीसाधनका लागि बाँयातर्फ दुई लेनको एकतर्फी अण्डरपास निर्माण भइरहेको छ ।

आयोजनाका अनुसार साँगा क्षेत्रमा भक्तपुरबाट बाहिरिने क्रममा सवारीसाधनले लामो उकालो पार गर्नुपर्ने समस्या रहेकाले यात्रालाई सहज बनाउन अण्डरपास निर्माण गरिएको हो । साथै, साँगाचोकमा सवारी आवागमनलाई व्यवस्थित र निर्वाध बनाउने उद्देश्यसमेत रहेको जनाइएको छ ।

अण्डरपासको कुल लम्बाइ एक हजार १ सय १० मिटर रहेको छ । यसमध्ये २० मिटर पुल, बनेपातर्फ १ सय ९० मिटर तथा भक्तपुरतर्फ ९ सय मिटर एप्रोच सडक निर्माण भइरहेको छ । अण्डरपासको उचाइ ६ मिटर र चौडाइ साढे १० मिटर रहनेछ ।

हालसम्म अण्डरपास निर्माणको करिब ९० प्रतिशत काम सम्पन्न भएको आयोजनाले बताएको छ । अन्डरपासको मुख्य संरचना र एप्रोच सडक निर्माण सम्पन्न भइसकेको छ भने अहिले साइड शेयरवाल र पेभमेन्ट सतहको काम अन्तिम चरणमा पुगेको छ ।

निर्माण सम्पन्न भएपछि भक्तपुरबाट बनेपातर्फ जाने सवारीसाधन अण्डरपासमार्फत सञ्चालन हुनेछन् भने बनेपाबाट भक्तपुर आउने सवारीसाधन माथिल्लो सडकमार्ग प्रयोग गर्नेछन् ।

अण्डरपास निर्माण कार्य सूर्यविनायक–साँगा सडक खण्डको ठेक्का पाएको निर्माण कम्पनीले नै गरिरहेको हो ।

Kathmandu: The underpass construction at Sanga, the main eastern border crossing into and out of the Kathmandu Valley, has gained momentum.

Construction work is underway on an underpass at Sanga, located on the border of Bhaktapur and Kavrepalanchok, as part of the Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road expansion project along the Araniko Highway.

Currently, the Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road is being upgraded to four lanes. Due to the high mountains in the Sanga area, the road has been constructed in two lanes each, up and down. Under this, a two-lane one-way underpass is being constructed on the left for vehicles exiting the Kathmandu Valley.

According to the project, the underpass has been constructed to ease the journey as vehicles have to cross a long hill while exiting Bhaktapur in the Sanga area. It is also stated that the objective is to make vehicle movement in Sanga Chowk organized and unhindered.

The total length of the underpass is 1,110 meters. Of this, 20 meters of bridge, 190 meters towards Banepa and 900 meters of approach road towards Bhaktapur are being constructed. The height of the underpass will be 6 meters and the width will be 10.5 meters.

The project has said that about 90 percent of the underpass construction work has been completed so far. The main structure and approach road of the underpass have been completed, while the work on the side sharewall and pavement surface is now in its final stages.

Once the construction is complete, vehicles going from Bhaktapur to Banepa will operate via the underpass, while vehicles coming from Banepa to Bhaktapur will use the elevated roadway.

The underpass construction work is being carried out by the same construction company that was awarded the contract for the Suryabinayak-Sanga road section.
