५ बुँदे सहमतिपछि रुबी खानको २३ औँ दिनमा अनसन तोडियो

रुपन्देही। महिला अधिकारकर्मी रुबी खानले सरकारसँग ५ बुँदे सहमति भएपछि २३ औँ दिनमा आफ्नो अनसन तोडेकी छन् । गृह मन्त्रालयका सहसचिव आनन्द काफ्ले र अनसनरत खानबीच भएको वार्तापछि सहमति जुटेको हो ।

सहमतिअनुसार २०७७ साल चैत २० गते दर्ता भएको निर्मला कुर्मीको अपहरण, शरीर बन्धक तथा कर्तव्य ज्यानसम्बन्धी जाहेरीमाथिको हालसम्मको अनुसन्धान अध्ययन गरी यथाशीघ्र न्यायिक प्रक्रियामा लैजाने उल्लेख गरिएको छ ।

साथै अन्य मुद्दाको छानबिन लुम्बिनी प्रदेश प्रहरी कार्यालय दाङले गर्ने र अनुसन्धानमा कमजोरी पाइए सम्बन्धित जिल्ला प्रहरीलाई कानुनबमोजिम कारबाही गरिने सहमति भएको छ ।

त्यस्तै रुबी खानविरुद्ध जिल्लामा दर्ता भएको सार्वजनिक शान्तिविरुद्धको कसुर मुद्दाको अनुसन्धान तत्काल टुंग्याइने तथा उक्त प्रकरणमा प्रहरी उपरीक्षक ९एसपी० को भूमिकाबारे प्रहरी प्रधान कार्यालयले छानबिन गर्ने सहमति भएको छ ।

महिला अधिकारकर्मी रुबी खानलगायत अभियन्ताको सुरक्षाका लागि आवश्यक व्यवस्था मिलाउन सम्बन्धित जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालयलाई निर्देशन दिने सहमति पनि भएको छ । सहमतिसँगै खानले जारी अनसन अन्त्य गरेकी हुन् ।

नेपालगन्जस्थित सञ्जीवनी अस्पतालमा अनसनरत खानसँग वार्ताका लागि बिहीबार प्रधानमन्त्रीका प्रेस सल्लाहकार दिपा दाहाल, गृह मन्त्रालयका सहसचिव आनन्द काफ्ले तथा एआइजी सुशीलसिंह राठौर नेपालगन्ज पुगेका थिए ।

Rupandehi. Women's rights activist Ruby Khan has ended her hunger strike on the 23rd day after reaching a five-point agreement with the government. The agreement was reached after talks between Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Anand Kafle and the hunger striker Khan.

According to the agreement, it has been mentioned that the investigation into the complaint of kidnapping, physical restraint and manslaughter of Nirmala Kurmi, registered on Chaitra 20, 2077 BS, will be studied and the case will be taken to judicial process as soon as possible.

It has also been agreed that other cases will be investigated by the Lumbini Provincial Police Office, Dang, and that if any shortcomings are found in the investigation, the concerned district police will be taken action according to the law.

Similarly, it has been agreed that the investigation into the case of public order offense registered in the district against Ruby Khan will be concluded immediately and that the Police Headquarters will investigate the role of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the case.

It has also been agreed to direct the concerned District Administration Office to make necessary arrangements for the safety of activists including women's rights activist Ruby Khan. With the agreement, Khan has ended her ongoing hunger strike.

Prime Minister's Press Advisor Deepa Dahal, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Ananda Kafle, and AIG Sushil Singh Rathore reached Nepalgunj on Thursday to hold talks with Khan, who is on hunger strike at Sanjeevani Hospital in Nepalgunj.
