One Arrested With Pistol in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Police have arrested one person with a pistol from Pailo Pul, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-8, Kathmandu.

The arrested is Sandeep Pariyar, 23, residing in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-17, Sunsari, informed Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Karki.

He said, "Based on secret information that Sandeep Pariyar was hiding weapons in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-8, Gothatar Pailo Pul, our team arrested him on Tuesday."

Police said that a pistol with a magazine, hidden under the seat of an Eicher vehicle with number Ba4kha 5241, which was broken and not in working condition, was found and the person was arrested after issuing a necessary arrest warrant.

Spokesperson Karki said that Pariyar has been sent to the District Police Complex, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu for further investigation and necessary action on the charge of arms possession.
