Kathmandu. The government has directed civil servants who do not return to their work areas after the end of their study or extraordinary leave and remain out of contact to report to their offices within 3 days. Secretary Ekdev Giri, spokesperson for the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, issued a notice warning that if employees who have not reported to their offices after the end of their leave do not report within 3 days, the process of taking action will be initiated.
The notice states that according to the ministry, some employees on study or extraordinary leave have not reported to their offices as per rules after the end of their leave and have been out of contact for a long time. Furthermore, it has been observed that even for some employees who have reported, their personal details have not been updated in the National Record Office. Therefore, officials have directed to update their records in the National Record Office (Civil Service) mandatorily within 3 days from the date of publication of the notice.
