Maja Chwalinska Reaches French Open Final

Kathmandu. Poland's 24-year-old tennis player Maja Chwalinska has made a sensational performance in the French Open, reaching the final of the women's singles. In the semi-final held on Thursday, she defeated Russia's Diana Shnaider 7-6 (4), 6-4.

With this victory, Chwalinska has become the second qualifier player in the Open Era (since 1968) to reach a Grand Slam singles final. Earlier, in the 2021 US Open, Emma Raducanu was the only Grand Slam player to qualify and reach the final after passing the qualifier stage.
